Welcome to Online Learning at UNM-Valencia.
Online, hybrid, or web-enhanced classes offered online at UNM Valencia meet the same academic quality standards as face-to-face classes and provide students with additional flexibility in scheduling.

Canvas

Canvas is the course delivery system that is used at UNM for online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses. Online and hybrid courses are identified in UNM Valencia's printed course schedule and on the Class Schedule page.

To login to a course that uses Canvas click on the button, below:

To identify possible online or hybrid classes, use the Schedule of Classes by Semester

  1. Select the semester.
  2. Select Branch Campus--Valencia Campus.
  3. Select "Online" from the Instructional Type in the far right hand column.

Higher Learning Commission

UNM-Valencia's courses are accredited through the Higher Learning Commission. For additional details see the UNM Accreditation.

State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA)

If you are a not a resident of New Mexico, and are taking online classes through UNM Valencia, please visit the UNM Main Campus agreement page. UNM-Valencia through the UNM Main Campus agreement is a SARA is participant. SARA is voluntary agreement between institutions and state governments to provide students online courses that meet strict guidelines in the areas of course delivery, quality of content and student support.

Disclosures for Programs Leading to Professional Licensure 

The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus has determined that it meets the requirements for professional licensure in the state of New Mexico. We have not yet determined whether it meets requirements for other states. If you intend to seek licensure outside of New Mexico, we recommend that you contact the professional board for that state to ensure the most up-to-date information regarding licensure for the following programs:

-EMS Basic

-EMS Intermediate

-Nursing

-Nursing Assistant

-Personal Care Attendant

-Phlebotomy

UNM-Valencia is a member of the Online Learning Consortium and uses the OSCQR Scorecard as a rubric. Faculty training and professional development is available through the Faculty Online Teaching and Review Committee.
