What if I am not eligible to complete the FAFSA?
The UNM Application for State Aid application provides Financial Aid for admitted students who are non-citizens. The University of New Mexico Application for State Aid is designed to support UNM students who are not eligible to file for Federal Student Aid (i.e. FAFSA). UNM is a DACA/Undocumented/International safe zone. The 2023-2024 UNM Application for State Aid is open for eligible applicants. This application covers Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters.

What are priority funds?
Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG), State Student Incentive Grant (SSIG), 3% grants, UNM II grants, federal and state work-study. File your FAFSA prior to the first Friday in January.
