Faculty PD Calendar

A new Valencia Events Calendar has been created in Outlook and an email sent out from administration. Here is a copy of that email:

"Daysha in BusOps has been working hard on getting an Events calendar set up for the campus.  This is an outlook calendar that we will track all upcoming events on campus that can be combined with your own calendar that shows the events happening on campus.  I don’t know about you, but often I don’t know that something cool is happening until I get the email that’s its happening right now, and I’m double booked. 

 We have now sorted out the details (for the most part) on how it will work:

  1. Send Daysha Sandy an email asking to be added to the calendar.  She will add you as a delegate with no edit role. 
  2. Once she confirms your addition, go to the shared calendars, or on a mac it’s the “+ Add Calendar” and search for UNMVEvents@unm.edu
  3. When it appears, add it.  It should show up under Groups or Shared Calendars (depending on your operating system and version of the outlook desktop.
  4. It can be toggled on and off if your calendar view gets too cluttered.
  5. Just remember, its editable only by a few.  If you want something added, Daysha is the best place to send it. 

This is still a bit of a work in progress, but it’s beginning to take shape as a catch all place to show all the great things we are doing here on campus, including recruitment events, academic discussions, student events, etc.  REMEMBER that there is an events committee that things go through for the special stuff, so if you send it to Daysha, it may go to that committee for review and presentation to the Executive Leadership.
