Upward Bound is federally funded by federal tax dollars and is free to eligible participants. The program also offers stipends (money) to participants who meet the program’s attendance standards, as well as fee waivers for ACT/SAT exams.

Students are highly encouraged to remain in the Upward Bound Program throughout high school as long they meet the criteria and program’s goals.

The Upward Bound Program is an atmosphere that provides high-quality college preparation workshops, classes, etc., along with a wide range of cultural and social experiences. Upward Bound participants target their challenges resulting in effective high school academic standing as well good transition into college/university. Students have various abilities to direct planning, decision making, financial literacy, and many other topics.
