Criminal Justice 3+1 Articulation Agreement

UNM-Valencia, partnered with Lewis University in Albuquerque, has created a pathway for students interested in transferring to a bachelor’s program in Criminal Justice. Students can now earn an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice at UNM-Valencia and transfer to Lewis University to complete a bachelor’s degree.

If you are interested in studying Criminal Justice, UNM-Valencia advisors can help, and they will help you choose the correct classes within the degree plan. Then, when you successfully complete your associate’s degree, you can transfer to Lewis University to complete your bachelor’s degree. Articulation agreement highlights

  • A reduced tuition fee of $350 per credit hour is offered to any Criminal Justice majors from UNM-Valencia who transfer to Lewis University.
  • Up to a maximum of 96 credit hours from UNM-Valencia can be transferred to Lewis University. 
  • UNM-Valencia students who transfer will be conferred a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice upon completing 32 credit hours earned at Lewis University. 
  • No student fee or parking fee will be incurred while attending classes at Lewis University. 
  • Lewis University does have a $100 technology fee per semester. 

 

Education 2+2 Articulation Agreement

UNM-Valencia, partnered with College of Education and Human Sciences at UNM-Main, has created a pathway for students interested in transferring to a bachelor’s program in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Secondary Education. Effective Fall 2023, students can earn an associate’s degree in one of the three Education programs at UNM-Valencia and transfer to UNM-Main to complete a bachelor’s degree. (This website will be updated in Summer 2023.)

If you are interested in studying Education, UNM-Valencia advisors can help, and they will help you choose the correct classes within the degree plan. Then, when you successfully complete your associate’s degree, you can transfer to UNM-Main to complete your bachelor’s degree in education. Articulation agreement highlights

  • The transfer of credits from UNM-Valencia to UNM-Main must follow the rules of each college’s catalog.   
  • A grade of “C” or above must be earned in UNM-Valencia courses.
  • Transferring students will be admitted to UNM-Main as juniors to the BS in Education programs.
  • Credits from all courses taken at UNM-Valencia will be transferred to UNM-Main.
  • 12 credit hours of certain courses in Elementary Education will be transferred as upper-level courses in the BS in Elementary Education.

 

Agriculture Articulation Agreement

UNM-Valencia, partnered with New Mexico State University, has created a pathway for students interested in studying agriculture. Students can now complete a series of courses for an associate degree in Business Administration at UNM-Valencia and transfer to NMSU to complete a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Business.

Then, when you successfully complete your associate degree, you can transfer to NMSU to complete your bachelor’s degree. Mathematics Articulation Agreement

UNM-Valencia, partnered with Western New Mexico University, has created a pathway for students interested in transferring to a bachelor’s program in Mathematics. Students can now earn an associate’s degree in Mathematics at UNM-Valencia and transfer to Western to complete a bachelor’s degree.

If you are interested in studying Mathematics, UNM-Valencia advisors can help, and they will help you choose the correct classes within the degree plan. Then, when you successfully complete your associate’s degree, you can transfer to Western to complete your bachelor’s degree.   • Transferring students will be admitted to WNMU as juniors to the BS in Mathematics program.
  • For UNM-Valencia transfer students, the WNMU requirement of a minor and the service learning requirement will be waived.
