Over six hands-on classes, students will gain practical experience with essential computer applications and tools. Microsoft Word, File Management, set up and use of email accounts including composing and managing attachments, Internet Basics, Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Excel. By the end of this course, participants will be comfortable using core computer applications and will have developed confidence to apply their new digital skills in everyday situations.

The course also covers creating polished templates such as resumes and newsletters, developing a professional social media presence, and using modern AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini to draft documents and summarize information for increased productivity.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED

This American Heart Association (AHA) approved course teaches basic first aid skills such as removing gloves aseptically, identifying medical emergencies including administration of an Epinephrine Pen, stopping bleeding and proper bandaging techniques and learn basic CPR skills such as performing a head tilt-chin lift, giving high quality chest compressions and breaths as well as basic AED (Automatic External Defibrillation) operations. Skills are taught using AHA’s research proven Practice-While-Watching technique which allows Instructors to observe students, provide feedback and guide students in their acquisition of skills during class.

This 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety Training, based on 29 CFR 1926 regulations, is designed for entry-level workers in the construction industry. The course provides essential training on the recognition, avoidance, and prevention of jobsite hazards, promoting a culture of safety and regulatory compliance.

Participants will receive instruction on key topics including OSHA’s role, the Focus Four hazards (Falls, Electrocution, Struck-By, and Caught-In/Between), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Health Hazards in Construction, and other important safety practices relevant to construction environments. Students who successfully complete the OSHA 10 course receive an OSHA 10 certification card.
