BLS Healthcare Provider CPR

Healthcare professionals learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. This course is recommended for all healthcare providers including Doctors, EMS personnel, Physician Assistants, Dentists, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists and Nursing Assistants. Course length: 4 to 5 hours.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED

Class Type: In-Person

This American Heart Association (AHA) approved course teaches basic first aid skills such as removing gloves aseptically, identifying medical emergencies including administration of an Epinephrine Pen, stopping bleeding and proper bandaging techniques and learn basic CPR skills such as performing a head tilt-chin lift, giving high quality chest compressions and breaths as well as basic AED (Automatic External Defibrillation) operations. Skills are taught using AHA’s research proven Practice-While-Watching technique which allows Instructors to observe students, provide feedback and guide students in their acquisition of skills during class.

The origin, a combined form, and an example of non-medical everyday usage is provided for each root term. Word Associations are provided as a learning tool. Root terms are combined with prefixes and suffixes as your learning will culminate in the interpretation of several paragraphs of medical notes.
