The UNM-Valencia Fitness Wellness and Education Center (FWEC) is a campus recreational facility to provide access to exercise equipment, fitness classes and health educational resources to enhance the lives of the students, faculty, staff and surrounding community members.
The Wellness Center offers several different group classes such as Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, Stretch & Relax, Weight Training and more. The fully functional gym offers free weights, machine weights and a variety of cardio equipment to meet the needs of any exercise enthusiast.
The FWEC also provides opportunities for students, faculty and staff to participate in recreational activities, learning sessions and community service. Come by and learn more about what the FWEC has to offer and how you can be a part of something great.

Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt
October 12 through November 20, 2026
The Wellness Center invites you to participate in the Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt.
Groceries are more than just the food we buy. This scavenger hunt will help you understand the basics of good nutrition and create a diet that works for you.
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!
- Visit the Wellness Center to pick up a scavenger hunt form. Take it with you on your next couple of trips to the grocery store or farmers market.
- Fill in the answers as you shop for groceries.
- Bring your completed form back to the Wellness Center for support, feedback and information about available resources. Enter a free raffle for a chance to win a Lobo swag bag!
The Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt is designed to help you stretch your food budget and reduce food costs without sacrificing nutrition. The Wellness Center can also help you with food planning.
