Biography
I am an Associate Professor of English and was the co-founder and co-editor of UNM-Valencia's now-defunct literary journals, Manzano Mountain Review & Little Wolf.
I teach creative writing, composition & rhetoric, expository writing, & literature. Other interests include short fiction and novel writing techniques, crime fiction, radical social history, philosophy, and chess.
My stories and poems have appeared in Meridian, 3:AM Magazine, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Thuglit, Washington Square Review, Mystery Tribune, and other publications.
From 2017 to 2024, I was the co-host of Point Blank: Hardboiled, Noir, and Detective Fiction.
When I’m not playing chess, I make lo-fi garage rock with fuguers cove, bedroom folk with high plains home recordings, and sonic weirdness with a number of secret projects.
