Program Description

The Associate of Arts degree in Chicana/Chicano Studies provides students with a critical understanding of the cultural, political, and socio-economic context of the Chicana/Chicano community. This degree transfers to the bachelor’s program at UNM-Albuquerque.

The Chicana/Chicano Studies program provides students with quality instruction to facilitate mastery of the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to continue their studies at the baccalaureate level or enter the workforce.
