Program Description

The 61-credit-hour Associate of Arts degree in Psychology will provide students with an understanding of how individuals relate to their world, emphasizing communication and critical thinking skills, as well as personal and social responsibility. The Psychology program will provide students with quality instruction to facilitate mastery of the knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary to continue their studies at the baccalaureate level, as well as when they move into the workforce.


Career and Educational Advancement Opportunities

The program provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to transfer to a four-year institution in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree. Completion of this degree will provide students with skills in a variety of areas such as critical thinking, effective communication, and analytical reasoning in a variety of contexts/environments, which will produce students who can succeed in a wide variety of majors and job opportunities.
