Academic Program Review

All academic programs (degrees and certificates) must be assessed each year. Academic programs observe an annual assessment cycle, collecting data throughout the spring and fall semesters and submitting a final report by January 31 of the following year. Each program develops program outcomes, which form the basis of the annual assessment report.

Please see the UNM Office of Assessment website for more details.

In addition to annual assessment, all academic programs go through program review, to gauge the health and viability of a program. UNM-Valencia academic programs are on a five-year cycle, whereby each program is reviewed at least every five years. Program review examines all aspects of a program (enrollment, faculty, job-placement, program learning outcomes, etc.).

Please see the UNM-Valencia Program Review Handbook for reference.
