Community Education Services
Community Education Services is located on the second floor of the Student Community Center, along with the Small Business Development Center. Community Education is comprised of the following programs providing learning opportunities for citizens of all ages.
Dual Credit Program: Academic and career-technical courses at Los Lunas, Valencia, Belen, Infinity, Socorro, Mountainair, Magdalena, School of Dreams Academy and Alamo High Schools whereby high school students can receive both high school and college credit for the same courses.
Bachelor & Graduate Programs: Online and correspondence course offerings are available.
CPR and First Aid Training: Classes offered monthly through our American Heart Association Training Center open to the public. Employers can call 505.925.8973 for information on becoming a training site.
Workforce Training: Customized training for business, industry and government entities, offered on campus or at your place of business to prepare your employees to better serve your company's needs. A variety of career-technical programs are also available for individuals to enhance their skills in order to enter the workforce or to embark on hew careers.
Allied Health: Courses to prepare student for careers in healthcare, including Personal Care Attendant (PCA), Nursing Assistant (CNA), Phlebotomy (PBT).
Emergency Medical Services: UNM-EMS Academy courses are offered for certification and for an associate of science in EMS. Bachelor-level paramedic degree now available.
Cultural Enrichment Series: This series brings a wide variety of informational lectures and entertainment from cultures around the world, and in subjects of all disciplines.
Off Campus Instruction: College credit courses are offered at off-campus sites.
Facility Master Scheduling: Scheduling is maintained for the Valencia Campus. Non-profit organizations are welcome to use the facilities if available. For more information, call 505.925.8565.
