Sustainable Building Certificate

Program Description

The program provides a foundation for students pursuing a career in the building sector of the green economy and by those currently in the industry who wish to advance. The sustainable building certificate focuses on green building principles and solutions as they apply to both residential and commercial construction.

Required Courses:

CADT 150 (Introduction to Computer Aided Drafting) -- 3 credits

CNST 104 (Required Introduction) -- 4 credits

CNST 204 (Timber Framing) -- 4 credits

SUST 120 (Introduction to Green Building) -- 3 credits

SUST 150 (Renewable Energy in Buildings) -- 3 credits

SUST 230 (Computer Assisted Sustainable Design) -- 3 credits

SUST 250 (Home Energy Audits) -- 3 credits

SUST 260 (Green Building with LEED) -- 3 credits

SUST 295 (Green Building Capstone Project) -- 3 credits

Total Credits: 29
